From the outset, both of these units look pretty similar. Yes it is a stainless steel tank with no anode as normal in the tank, but it has a thin aluminium anode slid inside the inlet pipe, apparently to 'clean' the water on the way in to the tank, and should be replaced every year.

The tank is of stainless steel, so it doesn’t consume the anode as quickly as other products out there, which makes it more reliable and less prone to calcium buildup at the bottom.

This Grade Of Stainless Steel Has Been Chosen Because Other Materials Can Corrode When Subjected To These Higher Temperatures.
